Nepal: One Year After the Earthquake

STU J-School’s Nepal reporting team will give a presentation on their June 2016 trip to that country on Wednesday, November 9th at 7 p.m. in the Library Theater.

Students will give presentations, and show photographs and short documentary pieces related to the one-year anniversary of the devastating 2015 earthquake in the Kathmandu valley — reported on extensively by the first J-School reporting team, which went to Nepal just several weeks after the quake. They will also share reportage on the growing China-Nepal relationship, and on issues in the roadless areas of the Himalaya, where the team spent several days trekking to cover rural development and human interest stories. With special guest and former Financial Times correspondent Binod Bhattarai.
