The Digital Humanities and Intelligent CommunicationResearch Center of Shantou University, supportedby the academic resources of the Cheung Kong Schoolof Journalism and Communication, was establisnedin February 2023 as a Key Research Base for Humanitiesand Social Sciences in Shantou. The center focuseson serving the social and economic development ofthe Chaoshan region. Its research centers on three keyareas: exploring the cultural depth of Shantou andpromoting Chaoshan culture; leveraging big datatechnologies to advance the development of Shantou'snew media industry; and utilizing diverse media channelsto carry out effective public health communication.
