电影简介：
卓别林最钟爱的作品，一部“笑中带泪”的杰作，一个淘金狂的磨难和梦想，煮食皮靴、带狗跳舞、悬崖木屋等片段已成为喜剧电影的经典，当年在美国创下六百万的惊人票房，艺术价值与娱乐价值同样出色。《淘金记》是卓别林电影风格的集大成之作，是一部不朽的经典。
影片改编自唐纳·派莫的短篇小说，也是卓别林创作史上第一部拿到完整剧本才投入拍摄的作品。影片对人物心理幻境的表现，不仅体现了卓别林每拍一片必有新招的审美诉求，同时也给其他喜剧电影的拍摄手法带来了一个圆熟范本。
《淘金记》是卓别林本人最得意的作品之一，传世影响也十分奇异：1943年，影片在全美各大影院重映，作曲家马科斯·泰尔为其重新制作了配乐，结果获得了1944年奥斯卡最佳配乐奖和最佳音响的两个提名，也是奥斯卡提名历史上压仓时间最长的影片。

The Gold Rush is a 1925 silent film comedy written, produced, directed by, and starring Charlie Chaplin in his Little Tramp role. The film also stars Georgia Hale, Mack Swain, Tom Murray, Henry Bergman, and Malcolm Waite.
Chaplin declared several times that this was the film that he most wanted to be remembered for. Though a silent film, it received an Academy Awards nomination for Best Sound Recording.
A lone prospector ventures into Alaska looking for gold. He gets mixed up with some burly characters and falls in love with the beautiful Georgia. He tries to win her heart with his singular charm.
